November – Democracy Month

With another deadline to leave the EU missed, and a General Election that most of our politicians were too frit to hold, the Croydon Constitutionalists are marking November as Democracy Month.

To start the month a video of the great Peter Shore MP on how politicians use fear to subvert democracy.

Michael Swadling of the Croydon Constitutionalists spoke again with Sputnik Radio on the 14th October 2019.

“we have a parliament that is not interested in the people, that’s afraid of putting itself up to the people and is ignoring the people’s biggest vote in British history. Motion to Block Proroguing Parliament ‘Another Attempt by MPs to Ignore People’s Will’ – Analyst

Michael Swadling from the Croydon Constitutionalists reflects on whether there are any chances of this to happen and what a no-deal Brexit would mean for the UK.

“It’s an appointment; we didn’t elect the President of Europe, we don’t know what manifesto she ran on, I don’t know where I can run to get rid of her, it’s an appointment, the EU is not a democracy and it’s really important to underline that.”

Political Class Voted to Wipe Away Our Democracy – Mike Swadling on Sputnik Radio

Croydon Constitutionalist Mike Swadling was interviewied on Spunik Radio about Theresa May’s Brexit bill and the pressure she is under to resign following negative feedback from her fellow MPs on her amended deal.

Croydon Constitutionalists Mike Swadling was on Radio Sputnik speaking about the talks between the Conservative and Labour parties on Brexit.

“These are deceitful parties and deceitful politicians who have blatantly lied to the British people, and it’s no surprise that when they try to find the next steps to take to deceive us further, that they can’t find a common ground”

Our Representatives Have Become Our Dictators

Mike Swadling appeared on Sputnik radio this week discussing the anti-democratic actions being taken in Parliament.

” we have such a viper’s nest of traitors in parliament at the moment that many of them really are willing to bring down our democracy, and vote to revoke Article Fifty”

“If we don’t leave the EU in very short order; our representatives have become our dictators, they will have ignored the biggest vote in British history, and there would be no reason to think that voting again makes any difference, and at the point they pit themselves against us, you can’t vote for change and you leave people with very few options if they want to affect change”
